Project Spotlight: Medical-Grade Trolleys for Intraocular Lens Manufacturer
Our client is the UK’s sole manufacturer of intraocular lenses, supplying surgeons and patients worldwide with industry-leading visual outcomes.
They approached us with an initial concept and a set of precise specifications. We collaborated closely to develop and manufacture a prototype for testing, and once approved, proceeded with the final design. All fabrication drawings were produced in-house by our design team.
The trolleys were fabricated entirely from 316 stainless steel and electro-polished upon completion to prevent corrosion and eliminate any risk of contamination within the client’s production environment. This finish also provides a clean, professional appearance and an easy-to-maintain surface—essential for medical-grade applications.
For the uprights, stainless steel channels with fixing slots were folded, and machined bosses were welded to removable angled shelf runners during final assembly.
